Industrial-grade UPS power supply generally refers to the uninterruptible power supply used in key equipment in the power, petrochemical, metallurgical and other industries. It generally uses phase-controlled rectification and high-frequency inverter technology. The output is isolated from the mains, bypass, and DC. DC isolation, UPS used in the power market requires mains, bypass, DC, and output to be isolated, otherwise the user's DC system will not work properly. Commercial UPS is used in data centers or computer terminals in insurance, financial and other industries. Most of them use high-frequency rectification and high-frequency inverter technology, and the mains, bypass, DC, and output are not isolated.


Due to the poor use environment of general industrial-grade UPS power supplies, there may be special conditions such as dust, high and low temperature, high altitude, humidity, salt spray, acid mist, bad power grid, bad load, bad electromagnetic interference, etc., and the price is generally higher than that of commercial UPS . Industrial-grade UPS power supply has a high protection level, generally higher than IP31, while commercial-grade UPS does not consider the protection level, generally lower than IP20.


The industrial-grade UPS power supply has enclosed heat dissipation ducts and is isolated from electrical components to prevent dust from falling into the electrical components. All components are treated with "three preventions". Commercial-grade UPS power supplies generally do not have special designs for dust prevention, and parts and components generally do not have "three-proof" treatment.


Important industrial loads are usually powered by dual power grids, so industrial-grade UPS is designed with two AC power inputs (main AC power and backup AC power, also called mains and bypass), and the two power sources can be isolated from each other. The mains and the bypass of the commercial UPS cannot be isolated, and can only come from the same power grid.


For safety reasons, the output AC and battery packs of industrial-grade UPS power supplies are isolated from the grid. If the user accidentally touches the output AC and battery pack connections, they will not get an electric shock; the output AC and battery pack connections will not get an electric shock. The casing will not have any influence on the operation of the industrial UPS. The commercial UPS's mains, battery pack, bypass, and output are not isolated from the grid. If the user accidentally touches the output AC line or battery line connection, they will get an electric shock; the output AC line or battery line connection will touch the machine. Shell, the operation of commercial-grade UPS power supply will be affected, and it will blow up in serious cases.


The mains, bypass, and battery packs of the industrial-grade UPS power supply are all isolated from the output. Failures of the mains circuit, bypass circuit, and battery pack circuit (such as component damage, breakdown, fire, short circuit, etc.) will not affect the load. influences. The commercial UPS's mains, bypass, and battery pack are not isolated from the output. According to the needs of users, industrial-grade UPS power supplies can be designed into three-phase input and single-phase output, three-phase input and three-phase output, single-phase input and single-phase output, etc. Commercial UPS power supply can only be designed in two ways: three-phase input, three-phase output, and single-phase input, single-phase output.


For safety reasons, the main circuit, control circuit, and power supply of the drive circuit of the industrial-grade UPS are all designed for multiple isolation. Due to cost considerations, the main circuits, control circuits, and drive circuits of many commercial UPS power supplies are not isolated.


In consideration of the harsh on-site load of users, when designing and selecting electrical materials for industrial-grade UPS power supplies, the voltage is generally 2 to 3 times the margin. The current is generally 2~2.5 times the margin, and the service life is generally 8~10 years. For cost considerations, when designing and selecting electrical materials for commercial UPS, the design margin is generally not selected for key parameters such as voltage and current, and the service life is generally not more than 5 years.


Industrial UPS power cabinets are generally designed as industrial standard cabinets. For example, each cabinet has a width of 800mm or 600mm, a depth of 600mm or 800mm, and a height of 1800mm, 2000mm, or 2260mm. Each cabinet of a commercial UPS power supply is generally designed to be 600mm wide, 1070mm deep, and 1990mm high, similar in size to servers and minicomputers.


Industrial-grade UPS power supplies are produced using an order project system, and the cabinet color, cabinet size, communication protocol, contact signal, transmission volume, etc. are customized according to the different needs of each user. Commercial UPS power supplies are generally mass-produced on a large scale, and the cabinet color, cabinet size, communication protocol, contact signal, transmission volume, etc. cannot be customized according to the different needs of users.
